The Australian British Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber) is the leading non-profit organisation dedicated to strengthening the trade, investment, and cultural ties between Australia and the United Kingdom. With around 300 corporate Members, the Chamber runs a calendar of high-profile events, strategic programs, and advocacy initiatives. The Chamber provides a platform for business leaders, government representatives, and industry stakeholders to connect, collaborate, and drive economic growth.

Role Overview

The Western Australian Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing and managing relationships with Members, sponsors, and key stakeholders across Western Australia. This role is critical to growing the Chamber's presence in the state by delivering high-quality events, supporting securing sponsorship opportunities, and fostering long-term engagement with the business community and state government departments.

Working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and the broader Partnership and Events teams across Australia, the WA Partnerships Manager will ensure the Chamber's programs in Western Australia reflect its national priorities while tailoring engagement to local industry and business networks.

Key Responsibilities

Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing corporate Members, partners, and sponsors.
  • Identify and secure new Membership opportunities to support Chamber events and strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Chamber's State Council members and the British Consulate Office in WA.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships and Events teams to deliver exceptional sponsor value and recognition.
  • Manage sponsor deliverables, including branding, event participation, and post-event reporting.
  • Ensure consistent communication with Members and partners to strengthen long-term relationships.

Event Delivery

  • Work with the Events team to deliver high-profile business events, roundtables, and networking functions across key sectors (e.g., energy, defence, infrastructure, and innovation).
  • Coordinate speaker and sponsor involvement for Western Australian events.
  • Represent the Chamber at functions and business forums to promote its activities and Membership.
  • Potential speaking and moderating at Chamber events.

Administration & Reporting

  • Manage partnership documentation, proposals, and CRM records.
  • Support the Chief Commercial Officer with budgeting, revenue tracking, and partnership reporting.
  • Provide input on strategy development for the Chamber's growth in Western Australia.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years' experience in corporate partnerships, business development, marketing or stakeholder engagement, ideally within a Membership, not-for-profit, or professional services environment.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior executives and government stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ideally, proven experience in event delivery or coordination of sponsorship activations.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (such as Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong organisational and time management skills.
