About Us

We are a dynamic, family-owned farm located on "The Plains" in the South West of Western Australia. We currently milk up to 1,300 cows, producing 12.7 million litres annually. Our herd includes Holstein steers, Angus cross beef calves, and over 1,500 dairy replacements.

Our cows are housed on compost bedding and fed a Total Mixed Ration (TMR) during dry months, while grazing when pasture is available. We operate a 50-stand rotary dairy and are investing in a new batch robotic dairy, offering a great opportunity to be part of an exciting transition in our operations.

The Role

We're looking for a team player who is keen to grow with us and help support the Feed Team who are responsible for loading, mixing and delivering a consistent and high-quality feed. You'll be involved in a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Operate tractor with feed mixer to deliver rations to herds as per daily feed schedule
  • Load commodities into mixer using telehandlers

  • Accurately weigh and mix feed ingredients in line with provided feed schedule

  • Plow compost bedding in sheds

  • Scrape feed sheds

  • Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance
  • Report mechanical issues and assist with scheduled servicing

  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized workplace, including mill shed, bunk areas etc.

  • Communicate with herd managers to coordinate feeding times and cattle movements

  • Monitor cattle during feed runs and report any animal health issues

You'll work closely with the farm owners, herd manager, and other team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.

  • Be enthusiastic and have good attention to detail

  • Experience in operating large-scale agricultural machinery

  • Be open to learning new systems and technologies

  • Be able to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Be flexible with working hours (including early mornings and weekends)
  • Be a non-smoker
