We are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join our People and Culture team. This role is instrumental in supporting a positive and engaging workplace by providing timely HR advice, assisting with systems and processes, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation. You'll work closely with employees and managers to deliver efficient people and culture operations and foster a great employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for employee and manager queries regarding onboarding, HR systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Create a skills map pathway for all roles

  • Develop an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) framework

  • Develop and implement best practices across the whole employee lifecycle, including all employer obligations

  • Develop and measure engagement strategies for all employees

  • Link position descriptions to the organisation's purpose and vision

  • Prepare and process employment-related documentation including contracts, employee letters, visa-related paperwork, and other administrative requirements.

  • Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Support the development and communication of the Employee Value Proposition (EVP).

  • Assist in mapping skills and capabilities across roles to support workforce planning and development.

  • Stay informed of changes to industrial relations and employment legislation to support compliance.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.

  • Support initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

  • Assist with work health and safety (WHS) matters and employee well-being initiatives.

  • Play a role in delivering consistent and positive employment experiences.

  • Support the implementation and communication of People and Culture initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and development.

  • Assist with the coordination of performance development processes and provide support for employee development initiatives.

  • Support the resolution of staff concerns or issues in a timely and respectful manner.

  • Coordinate recruitment administration, including drafting position descriptions, posting advertisements, scheduling interviews, and managing onboarding documentation.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to support effective communication and collaboration.

  • Ensure pre-employment checks are completed, and onboarding processes are smooth and professional.

  • Perform other HR-related tasks as directed by the Executive team.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a HR Consultant or similar role.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources.

  • Proficient in using HRIS and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.

  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional extended hours as needed.

  • Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and high emotional intelligence.

  • Proven ability to achieve individual and team objectives.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
