The opportunity
Join QBE's Aviation Claims team as a Manager, where you'll lead a high-performing group handling complex aviation claims. This role offers the chance to shape strategy, drive operational excellence, and partner with industry experts to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers.
Your new role
- Lead and oversee a team of experienced aviation claims professionals, providing technical guidance, support, and ensuring timely, commercially sound claim resolutions.
- Report on the aviation claims portfolio performance to senior management and present insights internally and externally.
- Ensure compliance and service excellence by liaising with auditors, conducting file reviews, and maintaining strong engagement with internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with major brokers, proactively managing complex claims and addressing issues as they arise.
- Develop team capability through coaching and mentoring to achieve performance goals.
About you
- Extensive insurance experience within the specialist classes, aviation claims is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, compliance, and technical expertise will be highly regarded
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities with strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Advanced problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement with a strong focus on customer service
