About the Role
As an Engineering Technician within Babcock Australia's Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Asset Management Services (AMS), you'll play a vital role in supporting the engineering and maintenance activities of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Embedded in a high-performing Technical Services Team, you'll contribute to the technical integrity and operational readiness of GSE assets and associated Repairable Items.

This role also includes participation in the on-call Service Desk rotation, where you'll respond to technical enquiries and support corrective maintenance activities. You'll be instrumental in maintaining configuration baselines, approving spare parts, and auditing external maintenance providers to ensure compliance and quality. Your contributions will directly enhance the performance of the GSE Asset Management System and support the delivery of sustainable, innovative solutions across the organisation.
About You
You bring a strong foundation in engineering and technical services, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. Your ability to analyse, document, and communicate technical information enables you to make informed decisions and contribute meaningfully to team discussions and reviews. You're comfortable working independently and collaboratively, managing your own tasks while supporting broader team objectives.
You understand the importance of maintaining accurate technical records and applying relevant procedures, codes, and standards. Your experience with maintenance planning, configuration management, and technical documentation ensures that GSE assets remain safe, reliable, and mission-ready. You're also motivated by continuous improvement and seek opportunities to enhance processes and systems for long-term benefit.
