Junior/Assistant Accountant | Global Business | Gold Coast

The Role 

My client seeking a hands-on Junior/Assistant Accountant to support the day-to-day finance operations of a growing international business. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you'll work closely with both local and offshore teams to ensure the accuracy and quality of financial reporting across multiple entities.

Key duties include:

  • Bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities
  • Reviewing and processing AP/AR transactions
  • Assisting with accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Supporting GST/VAT returns and compliance documentation
  • Collaborating with operations to streamline processes and drive improvements

About You

  • 1-2 years' accounting experience
  • A degree in Accounting (desirable0
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reconciliations
  • Proficient with Excel; Xero experience desirable
  • Tech-savvy, curious, and proactive — enjoys improving processes
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn
