Your New Company/Role
As a well established organisation, my client is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team for a 6 months temporary role (subject to extension). The role is to be based in their Bankstown office - onsite parking is provided. The role will be based in the office at the start but once the candidate is up to speed - there will be 2 days work from home.
The role is ideal for someone who has great exposure across end to end Payroll function where they will be performing the BAUs, processing fortnightly payroll for multiple entities, exposure processing large volume and MUST HAVE Preceda system experience for at least a minimum of 10 months to 1 year.
About The Opportunity / Responsibilities
Reporting to a nurturing Payroll Manager; you are responsible for
- Manage the end-to-end payroll function for approximately 800 employees
- Process and run two separate pay runs on an alternate fortnightly basis
- Handle payroll for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all
- Perform all BAU tasks, including new starter setup, terminations, leave management, and reporting
- Address and resolve payroll queries from employees in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure all payroll data is accurate and compliant with relevant legislation and company policies
- Prepare month-end reports related to payroll.
- Monitor and ensure that all payroll processes adhere to the established quality standards
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required
Ideal Profile
This Opportunity Is For Someone Who Has Experience Within An End To End Payroll Function In a Large Volume Environment. You Will Also Bring
- Proven experience in an end to end payroll function; 2-5 years experience
- Prior work in a high volume fast paced environment would be beneficial i.e employees
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
- MUST HAVE experience in Preceda payroll system
- Be agile in your approach to work and be comfortable working in a change environment
- Understanding of legislation and tax law
Benefits
- 6 months temporary role and subject to extension
- Immediate start but open to someone who has short notice period
- $42 - $50 per hour + Super (Based on experience) (Can go slightly higher based on experience)
