About the Role
You will:
- Work in various sections of the Haematology Department and be responsible for the processing of specimens according to established laboratory procedures and issuing of results relevant to these specimens
- Work as part of a team to achieve high quality work and produce accurate and timely reports.
- Be testing specimens and releasing results including haematology, coagulation, blood film morphology and transfusion
Classifications for this position will range from RX1 - RX7 ($63,674 - $91,785.2 per annum)
Your Contribution
- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science or equivalent, AIMS accredited
- Sound knowledge of the principles of diagnostic laboratory haematology and/or transfusion testing, and their practical applications
- Competence in interpreting blood transfusion, haematological results and blood film examination
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

St Vincent's Pathology is committed to the provision of a comprehensive, high quality diagnostic and consultative pathology service for St Vincent's campuses, GPs and medical specialists in the Melbourne area.
Pathology services are centralised at SVH Fitzroy in the Patient Services Building
