Skelcon is on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager to join our Newcastle team.

About the job

As a Project Manager at Skelcon, you'll play a key role in overseeing a variety of projects from start to finish, whilst working closely with our clients, contractors and team members. You'll ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standards. Here's a rundown of what you'll be doing:

  • Leading multiple projects and ensuring smooth progress from tender through to handover.
  • Tendering a variety of commercial projects.
  • Scheduling timelines and managing resources.
  • Developing and managing client contracts.
  • Developing subcontracts and communicating with subcontractors.
  • Communicating with clients and managing project costs.
  • Overseeing project quality, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Managing budgets and reporting to our accounts and directors.
  • Managing WHS protocols and performing risk assessments.
  • Maintaining a professional approach with clients, team members, and contractors.
  • Ensuring all industry standards and regulations are met.

About you

We're looking for someone who's not just experienced but also a great fit for our team culture. The following is preferable:

  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Experience working on projects up to $10M in value
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction/project management
  • WHS construction induction certification
  • Great attention to detail and time management
  • Experience in managing medical, hospitality and commercial projects
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • Experience with strategic planning and risk management
  • Familiarity with Office 360 Suite, Microsoft Project, Procore and cubit estimating software
  • A valid driver's license

This is a full-time, office-based role with on-site parking and the opportunity to be part of a collaborative and experienced team.
