About the Role:

Pressure Vac (trading as PV Restorations) is looking for an experienced Senior Restoration Technician to join our growing team in Perth. This full-time role is based at our Bibra Lake office and involves delivering emergency restoration services for residential and commercial properties impacted by water, fire, and mould damage.

We're seeking someone with strong hands-on experience and the right qualifications to manage restoration projects end-to-end while meeting industry best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out structural and contents restoration (including fire, water, and mould remediation)
  • Perform estimating, job reporting, and documentation
  • Provide excellent communication and customer service to clients and insurers
  • Comply with WHS protocols and operate restoration equipment safely
  • Work independently and as part of a team in field-based settings

Technical & Restoration Tasks

Our restoration technicians manage a wide range of tasks that vary day to day depending on the type and severity of damage. Each project is unique and requires a tailored, hands-on approach to get the job done right.

1. Water Damage Restoration

  • Extract excess water using industrial-grade equipment
  • Set up drying systems with air movers and dehumidifiers
  • Perform moisture mapping and ongoing site monitoring
  • Apply antimicrobial treatments to prevent mould growth

2. Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration

  • Assess structures for fire-related damage
  • Remove soot, smoke, and odours using specialised cleaning methods
  • Restore salvageable materials and remove hazardous debris
  • Use air scrubbers and ozone machines for deodorisation

3. Mould Remediation & Decontamination

  • Conduct site inspections and air sampling
  • Install containment barriers to prevent cross-contamination
  • Perform HEPA vacuuming and surface treatments
  • Safely remove and dispose of contaminated materials

4. Insurance & Compliance

  • Scope and document damage for insurers
  • Complete detailed job reports and restoration logs
  • Ensure compliance with IICRC and WHS standards

5. Equipment Handling & Site Setup

  • Operate extraction tools and pressure cleaners
  • Wear appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols
  • Install containment, signage, and maintain site safety
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous or contaminated waste

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three IICRC certifications or equivalent industry qualifications
  • Proven experience managing restoration projects (fire, water, or mould)
  • Comfortable handling heavy equipment and physically demanding tasks
  • Strong attention to detail, compliance, and reporting
  • Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport
