As our Business Controls Advisor, you will support
the management of risk and controls for the People & Culture and Finance
divisional risk profiles. This includes the monitoring of the effectiveness of
controls, compliance with obligations and risk appetite to support the
consistent delivery of meaningful value to our stakeholders. You will be deeply passionate about building
capability and confidence with regards to risk and compliance across Great
Southern Bank.
This position is open to candidates in Brisbane,
offering you the flexibility to work from home two days a week.
You'll make an impact by:
- Supporting our People & Culture and Finance divisional risk profile Supporting risk and control identification and assessments
- Responsible for the management of issues and incidents
- Manage risk acceptances and supporting obligations assessments
- Supporting the identification of new / emerging risks and regulatory change impacting the business
- Standardising risk language, tools etc to support the strengthening of risk culture
Do things differently with us
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- 2 years' experience in financial services with a strong understanding of operational risk and compliance in the financial services industry
- Demonstrated understanding of the functions and priorities within a Risk and/ or Business Controls team
- Familiarity of effective risk governance and reporting requirements for a financial institution
- Experience in Retail Banking highly desirable
- Experience in data analysis and data interrogation is highly desirable
