Bright Steps Academy Mildura is seeking an inspiring Centre Director to lead our well-established early learning centre and continue building on our strong reputation for quality education and care.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early childhood leader to guide a passionate team, foster meaningful relationships with families and the community, and ensure our centre continues to deliver excellence in early education for children aged 0–6 years.

About the Role

As our Centre Director, you'll be responsible for leading the daily operations of the centre, supporting educators to deliver enriching programs, and maintaining the highest standards of care, compliance, and quality.

You'll bring strong leadership, warmth, and integrity to your role — creating an environment where children, families, and educators thrive.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of educators.
  • Oversee enrolments, compliance, and day-to-day operations.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with families and the wider community.
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain the highest quality standards.
  • Support a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture aligned with Bright Steps Academy values.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven leadership or senior educator experience in Early Childhood Education (Centre Director: 2+ years preferred).
  • ECT qualification or Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of NQF, EYLF, and compliance standards.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children, families, and educators.
  • Collaborative, people-focused approach with a growth mindset.
