Remuneration: Crown Clerk Grade 9/10, $129,464 - $142,665 plus super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

About this role

The Health and Social Policy Branch (HSPB) is recruiting one full time temporary Senior Policy Officer from December 2025 to July

Be part of a high-performing team providing executive support and strategic advice, managing communications, and implementing strategies to support NSW Health to make decisions about policies and programs within the Health and Social Policy portfolio.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and reviewing high level communications and correspondence including briefings, reports, submissions and notes to ensure the comprehensiveness, accuracy, and timeliness of written information
  • Researching and preparing advice on diverse and complex policy, planning and operational matters to facilitate informed decision making
  • Supporting the implementation and evaluation of business practices, systems and procedures to optimise efficiency and support the achievement of quality outcomes
  • Completing time-limited projects designed to enhance the capability and capacity of staff in the branch across a range of domains
