About the Payroll & Finance OfficerBased in Warrnambool, the Payroll & Finance Officer plays an integral role in supporting the organisation's Payroll operations. Reporting to the Finance & Administration Manager, this part-time role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, supporting accounts payable and receivable functions, and assisting with financial reconciliations and reporting.
Working closely with staff across the organisation as well as external providers such as the ATO, auditors, and financial advisors, you will contribute to the smooth operation of payroll and finance processes. Your expertise will help ensure compliance, maintain robust systems, and provide excellent support to employees and the wider organisation.
About the Successful Candidate… YouYou are a reliable, detail-oriented, and organised payroll or finance professional with experience in payroll and bookkeeping. You thrive in a team environment but can also work independently to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Known for your excellent customer service skills, you provide professional support to staff while ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping (or equivalent), with demonstrated payroll and bookkeeping experience.
- Knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and the National Employment Standards.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to prepare accurate reports.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Desirable skills include familiarity with Employment Hero, Xero, or MYP, and experience working in the disability or community services sector.
