South West Healthcare is seeking a motivated Procurement Officer to join our regional procurement team. Working within the Central Supply model, you will contribute to a centralised approach that delivers efficient, compliant, and value driven procurement across multiple health services. This model streamlines purchasing processes, strengthens supplier partnerships, and ensures best value for our region. You will support sourcing, contracts, and category management activities while working closely with stakeholders to achieve cost effective outcomes that enhance patient care and operational excellence.

Procurement Officer - South West Healthcare

- Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time 80 hours per fortnight with a monthly accrued day off

- Location: Warrnambool Campus

- Classification: Administrative Grade 4

- Salary Range: $83,657.60 - $92,482.00 per annum, plus superannuation

Responsibilities

- Support and enhance the regional procurement framework in line with Health Share Victoria policies

- Assist stakeholders with procurement activities, including tenders, quotes, and contracts

- Use market and supply chain insights to achieve best value outcomes

- Analyse financial data to understand cost drivers and identify savings opportunities

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers

- Contribute to sourcing strategies, tender evaluations, negotiations, and contract management

- Support implementation of procurement tools, processes, and templates to improve efficiency

- Monitor KPIs, report outcomes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What You Bring

- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, supply chain, commerce, or business administration

- Proven procurement experience, including category management and strategic sourcing

- Strong skills in supplier management and stakeholder engagement to achieve value-for-money outcomes

- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities effectively

- A proactive approach, high integrity, and commitment to continuous improvement
