About the Role

This contract opportunity is for a skilled SAS Viya Developer/Administrator to support a high-impact government program.

The role involves designing, developing, and managing advanced analytics solutions within the SAS Viya platform, contributing to mobile and web development, API integration, and data engineering.

You'll be responsible for planning and delivering project artefacts across multiple system releases, developing code, unit tests, and documentation, and supporting testing activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Daily coordination with stakeholders and participation in agile ceremonies are essential to ensure smooth project execution.

Please note: This role sits within a government client. Australian Citizenship is mandatory, and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (minimum baseline or NV-1) is essential.

The Successful Candidate

You will have:

  • A minimum of five years' experience as a data pipeline engineer in a cloud computing environment.
  • Proven experience managing SAS Viya, with IMS/Visual Investigator experience preferred.
  • A strong understanding of security concepts relevant to analytics platforms.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or Extreme Programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
