That's why we support the diverse needs of everyone and have policies that enable us all to thrive and be truly flexible. We ensure diversity is celebrated for the opportunity it provides us all to learn and grow and deliver better outcomes for members.
Your New Role
As Senior Manager, Valuations, you will join a globally recognised leader in its field and play a pivotal role in shaping and evolving the Fund's global valuation function. Reporting to the Principal, Valuations, you'll lead the development and implementation of valuation governance frameworks, policies, and controls across a diverse portfolio of unlisted assets — including Infrastructure, Private Credit, and Private Equity. You will also manage a small team of direct reports, as well as the workloads of others involved in Valuations projects.
You'll manage the independent valuation process, review valuation reports and analyses, and prepare internal valuations for a portfolio of approximately 60 assets totalling ~$35b and growing. This role partners with teams in Australia, the US, and the UK, offering genuine flexibility and the opportunity to work on valuations of assets globally. You will also contribute to papers for various committee and stakeholders, play a role in transaction teams for new investments as well as support the Fund's regulatory obligations.
You'll work closely with portfolio management teams, asset class teams, and external valuers, and contribute to the Fund's strategic direction, governance frameworks, thought leadership, and insights on valuation matters. This is a senior role, ideal for candidates from Big4 Consulting, investment funds, or superannuation backgrounds, with deep expertise in valuations for Infrastructure and Private Credit/Private Equity.
What You'll Need
- In-depth, SME level, demonstrable experience in valuations within a large accounting firm, boutique valuation firm, or institutional/corporate investing organisation, working across multiple assets but with a focus on Infrastructure, Private Credit & Private Equity technical valuations.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, report preparation, and analysis.
- Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and service providers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg.
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or a relevant area; postgraduate qualifications (e.g., CFA, Chartered Accountants ANZ) are desirable.
- Self-starter, comfortable managing multiple tasks and working in a collaborative, globally dispersed team where flexibility is both a requirement & an opportunity,
- Enthusiasm, resilience, and a willingness to contribute to a growing function.
