Your Role

As a Construction& Engineering (C) Underwriter, you'll work at the heart of a high-performing, inclusive team, helping shape risk solutions for complex projects and building lasting relationships with our trusted partners. This role is more than just underwritingits about becoming a trusted advisor. Youll engage directly with brokers, present our unique offering at industry events, and contribute to national business targets. You'll also support strategy development for SME to mid-markets and get involved in product guidance and insight-sharing. This is a permanent role, based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park, Sydney) or Meanjin (Brisbane).

About You

  • Experience in a broker- or customer-facing role, with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Professional and/or academic background in underwriting, broader insurance, or construction/engineering sectors.
  • A confident, curious mindset with the ability to adapt and thrive through change.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
  • A relevant degree in engineering (any discipline) or trade/construction experience (preferred but not essential).
  • A team-first attitude, high motivation, and a desire to grow your career in a specialist insurance space.
