Manufacturing Supervisor

Resource Labour HIre is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for one of Australia's largest manufacturer of building sealant products for the domestic, commercial, and industrial markets. For more than fifty years, this Australian and recently Asian Purchased business has led the industry with groundbreaking innovations and market leading products.

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor shall support the Production Manager in terms of production, quality, cost, delivery, technical, safety, and human resources, whilst achieving the departmental goals. Strive to continually improve using Lean tools to reduce costs, improve production and quality.

Multiple positions are available as:

• Large Product Assembly Supervisor
• Product Assembly Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive production efficiency by meeting KPIs and targets and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
• Lead and develop team performance, including coaching staff and managing Labor resources (both permanent and casual). We are looking for a hands-on leader who will interact and work with the production team on the shop floor.
• Ensure operational excellence through real-time shift management and proactive problem-solving.
• Maintain a safe and productive environment by managing attendance, investigating incidents, and addressing machinery issues.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by motivating the team and supporting improvement projects.
• Support production changes and trials by assisting with engineering modifications and pilot builds.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate 4 in Front-Line Management is desired but not essential we value real experience as much as we value certifications.
• Professional (or working towards) accreditation with an industry related body
• Full understanding of the requirements of running an assembly/ production function, such as health and safety and quality requirements
• Work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Understanding of assembly/production requirements (safety, quality).
• Significant experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams.
• Lean Manufacturing Proficiency: Knowledge of lean principles and 5S methodology.
