ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Location: Port Pirie, South Australia - Candidates must be local to Port Pirie or surrounding suburbs
  • Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts on a 7-day rotating roster
  • Shifts: Day and night shifts

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate articulated dump trucks (30T – 40T) to transport materials, including soil, rocks, and debris, safely within the smelter.
  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure the safe loading, transportation, and unloading of materials.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and pre-start inspections of equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and general upkeep in the smelter environment.
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet project goals and deadlines.

TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Current RII ticket for mobile plant operations.
  • Experience in operating 30T – 40T articulated dump trucks.
  • Valid Construction White Card.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
  • Previous experience working on a rotating roster with day and night shifts.
  • Pride in your equipment and a strong work ethic.
