Customer Service Host (Gathered Bakers, Chapel Hill)

Gathered Bakers is looking for a friendly, motivated team member to join our Chapel Hill bakery. If you love connecting with people, keeping things beautifully presented, and being part of a vibrant community focused business, we'd love to meet you.

About the Role

This role is all about creating an exceptional experience for every customer — warm greetings, genuine conversation, and thoughtful service that makes people feel welcomed. You'll help maintain the presentation of our bakery, keeping displays and cabinets looking their best and ensuring the space feels inviting and well-organised.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing outstanding customer service with a bright, positive attitude
  • Helping to arrange and restock our bread, pastry, and cake displays
  • Maintaining cleanliness and presentation across the bakery floor and service area
  • Taking customer orders and payments efficiently
  • Assisting with coffee service - barista experience ideal, but not essential

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in hospitality or café service
  • A passion for great customer experiences
  • Attention to detail and pride in presentation
  • The ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
  • Weekend availability (at least one weekend shift per week)

  • Approx. 30 hours per week
  • Must be available for a mix of weekdays and weekends
  • Located in Chapel Hill, Brisbane
