Selection Criteria

Experience

• Proven track record in the delivery of specialised subject area
• Involvement in, or contributions to, the school community beyond the classroom
• Evidence of regular involvement in professional learning

Skills and attributes

• Understanding of how students learn, and use of teaching practices that foster student learning
• Use of appropriate learning technologies to enhance student outcomes
• Ability to assess and evaluate student learning
• Capacity to accommodate different student learning styles and abilities
• Ability to develop constructive relationships with students which engender positive attitudes to learning
• High level communication and interpersonal skills when relating to students, parents and staff
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of child safe practices, including reporting requirements

Qualifications and Employer Requirements

• Appropriate qualifications for teaching in specialised subject area
• Clearance to work with children - registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
• Entitled to live and work in Australia
• A commitment and capacity to contribute to the College's co-curricular program
• Completion of Protecting Children – Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations (training provided by DoE Victoria)

raise any issues or concerns about a child's safety. All staff are required to follow the School's Child Safe policies and Child Safety

Code of Conduct.
