About the Role:
A wonderful opportunity is available for a dedicated English teacher to join a welcoming Catholic school in Melbourne's West, commencing in 2026. This role focuses on teaching and supporting students in Years 7–10.

Key duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum (Years 7–12).
- Teach text analysis, essay writing, and literary interpretation across a range of genres.
- Develop students' skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking.
- Prepare students for VCE English assessments through targeted skill development.
- Differentiate learning to support diverse student needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and enhance teaching practice.
Skills & Experience:
- Current VIT registration
- Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Proven experience teaching English in a secondary school setting (Australia or NZ)
- Familiarity with the Catholic education system – highly regarded but not essential
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply – we welcome fresh perspectives
- Two education-based references from the past five years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable)
