IMMEDIATE START

We are currently seeking passionate and experienced English educators to join our Secondary Schools in 2025:

  • English Teachers VCE and Years 7 to 10 – Boys' Secondary School
  • Head of English/English Teacher – Girls' Secondary School

All roles are permanent and can be offered on
either a part-time or full-time basis
, depending on the successful candidates' availability and preferences. These opportunities are ideal for educators with a strong understanding of the English curriculum, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to student growth and achievement.

Key Responsibilities (for all roles):

  • Deliver engaging and rigorous English instruction aligned with VCAA study designs (VCE roles) or curriculum frameworks (Years 7–10)
  • Develop and implement differentiated teaching programs to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Work collaboratively with faculty colleagues to support quality teaching and curriculum innovation
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student learning and progress
  • Foster a respectful, supportive, and aspirational classroom culture

Additional Responsibilities (for Head of English):

  • Lead the development and delivery of the English curriculum across Years 7–12
  • Mentor and support English faculty members
  • Promote professional learning and curriculum excellence
  • Contribute to whole-school literacy strategies and academic planning

About You:

  • Proven success teaching English at the secondary level (including VCE for applicable roles)
  • Strong content knowledge and understanding of current best practice in English education
  • Effective classroom management and a relational approach to student engagement
  • Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with staff and contribute to faculty goals
  • Current VIT registration
  • A commitment to child safety and an understanding of the Child Safe Standards
