Your new role

In this pivotal position, you'll be responsible for driving category strategy, growth, and performance across red meat and poultry client base. Working closely with direct suppliers to major retail partners Woolworths and ALDI, you'll lead initiatives that optimise supply chains, strengthen commercial relationships, and deliver value for both customers and end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the Protein category strategy, focusing on red meat and poultry producers and processors.
  • Interact with key retailers, including Woolworths and ALDI.
  • Analyse category trends, supply-chain performance, and customer feedback to identify improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations, product, sustainability, and commercial teams to drive innovation and expansion.
  • Lead pricing, forecasting, and commercial planning to support profitability and service excellence.
  • Support new product development and sustainability initiatives that align with Viscount Reuse's circular economy objectives.
  • Develop compelling business cases and present insights to internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in category management, key account management, or commercial roles within the food, FMCG, packaging, or supply-chain sectors.
  • Strong understanding of protein supply chains—red meat and/or poultry experience highly regarded.
  • Experience working with large Poultry businesses such as Baiada and Inghams will be looked upon favourably.
  • Confident working with major retailers; Woolworths or ALDI exposure is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategy.
  • Strong relationship builder with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Commercially savvy, adaptable, and ready to work in a fast-moving environment with sustainability at its core.
