ECG Engineering are leaders in the Electrical Engineering space, delivering design and project delivery services to the Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling and Industrial sectors with extensive and proven capabilities in Australia, and around the world.

With offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto, Manila & Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, ECG have the capability to design and deliver on complex projects, from early study work to commissioning and handover, drawing on the expertise of senior ECG personnel who have worked together for 30 + years.

We require a Project Manager to join our Power Systems / Renewables group to manage the electrical scope on a range of projects, from predesign to successful handover to client.

The role will be Perth based, providing support to our Power Systems Manager while managing an established design and project team with occasional site visit required.

To be considered for the role of Project Manager you need solid experience on complex high value power systems electrical projects, ideally with remote plant construction exposure.

You will be responsible for achieving project milestones and objectives by monitoring profitability, cash flow, and risk across projects, which range from;

  • Feasibility studies for grid connections, hybrid power stations and renewable integrations.
  • Detailed design of power stations, substations, solar PV and BESS systems.
  • Power systems analysis, including system static and dynamic studies.
  • Control systems for hybrid power plant operations, and integration of solar PV, BESS and wind power sources.
  • Commissioning of power stations, solar PV, BESS and associated power management systems.

You will create and manage the projects design and procurement deliverables while monitoring project cost. You will also create and review quality management systems ensuring integration throughout the project with our other engineering partners.

You will also be responsible for managing technical proposals and reports as well as ensuring costing data is accurate and contract administration is consistent.

Previous experience of a similar Project Management role, preferably in a power systems environment , together with a sound knowledge of engineering principles in construction commissioning environment is preferable.

While our initial role covers off on a range of power systems / renewables projects, ECG has a solid forward order book: we would envisage the Project Manager could eventually transition onto one project, as ECG is engaged on one of the larger projects.

While ECG works in the electrical space, we are open to talking to other discipline engineers or project execution specialists with a strong electrical knowledge and experience.
