ECG Engineering are leaders in the Electrical Engineering space, delivering design and project delivery services to the Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling and Industrial sectors with extensive and proven capabilities in Australia, and around the world. With offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto and Manila, ECG have the capability to design and deliver on complex projects, from early study work to commissioning and handover, drawing on the expertise of senior ECG personnel who have worked together for 30 + years.

We require a Power Systems Engineer to join our Perth based Power Systems team, contributing to design, reports, studies and analysis to our diverse loyal clientele across resource and energy.

Applicants should have skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Sound experience in the analysis and design of HV power systems including design of powerlines and substations
  • Sound generalist electrical engineering experience that also includes knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and controls applications
  • Experience working on both greenfield and brownfield projects
  • Degree level electrical engineering qualifications, with specialize power engineering qualifications well regarded
  • An ability to self-manage while working in a variety of team scenarios
  • The ability to travel with project requirements

Responsibilities

  • Undertake power system analysis for clients
  • Design power systems for the mining and power generation industries
  • Assist with the preparation and evaluation of tenders
  • Use power systems modelling packages such as DigSilent, PowerFactory and ETAP
