Role Overview

The Senior Experiential Producer is responsible for translating creative briefs into project plans and all the deliverables associated in delivering projects from concepting and build, through to live execution. Your role will be a client-facing member of the production team that is able to explain technical, print or interactive concepts, drive creative solutions and manage aggressive timelines, in tandem with building strong client relationships. To ensure seamless delivery you will need to collaborate and clearly communicate with internal and external resources as required.

You are responsible for the profitability, productivity and happiness of your projects and team. You will lead and support junior team members and drive best practice in all aspects of the deliverables. You will live to the Bastion values and mission and strive to meet our business goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

Delivering best in class events and activations whilst staying within budget, schedule and scope.

  • Effectively work across several projects, brands and internal teams
  • Ensure that you and your team adhere to the Event Production checklist
  • Ultimately responsible that all activations are delivered on time, within budget, and meet (or exceed) expectations.
  • Maintaining and developing supplier and client relationships
  • Adept at producing comprehensive production detail reports and risk assessments for all events
  • Providing support and continual updates to your Manager
  • Travelling to on site inspections and location and managing stakeholders and event execution without supervision. (Evening and weekend work as required).
  • Ability to effectively and professionally present information and respond to questions from various groups of stakeholders with a knowledgeable, respectful and a solutions-oriented approach
  • Propose recommendations that provide commercial benefit for the business
  • Foster a strong trusted relationship with your clients and an intimate knowledge of their business needs by showcasing expertise
  • Manage client budgets and look at ways to improve margins
  • Proactively look at ways to improve margins on projects whilst maintaining the integrity of the creative concept.
  • Lead Sydney based production team (of 3), effectively managing workload of team members and fostering collaboration
  • Actively identify and introduce new business opportunities to the business
  • Ultimately responsible for quality of client deliverables across direct reports
  • Provide on the job training opportunities as identified in Professional Development Reviews for direct reports
  • Constantly give and elicit feedback on what's been done well and what could be done better
  • Undertaking any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time

Key Experience & Attributes

  • 8+ years experience in a similar events, experiential or producer role.
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to effectively and professionally present information and respond to questions from various groups of stakeholders with knowledgeable, respectful and a solutions-oriented approach
  • Accomplished in the field of hospitality and event management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Google suite
  • Ability to communicate and set priorities and expectations with management, all teams, prospects and clients
  • Desire to contribute significantly to the growth of the business
  • Have contacts and leads for new business opportunities.
  • Be able to effectively communicate with clients especially when on site
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions
  • Knowledge to brief in design and artwork requirements
  • Energy, commitment, professionalism, patience, flexibility & teamwork
  • Proven demonstration of leadership, creativity, listening, and decision making skills
  • Superior organizational skills, with special attention to detail, and time management
  • Have the ability to work independently as well as be an enthusiastic team player
  • Sound budget and finance knowledge

In this role in the last 6 months you would have:

  • Delivered simultaneous brand experiences in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane for a major sporting event
  • Run a 500 person conference for one of Australia's largest brands
  • Delivered a multi-pronged campaign including retail and events for one of the largest global beauty brands
  • Worked on a pitch for a large travel brand's major event experience
