About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Leader to join our expanding Hospital in the Home (HITH) team. This Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) role with our HITH Adult (Medical/Surgical/Geriatrics) Stream, is the kind of management opportunity you can really sink your teeth into. A role that is focused on risk management, quality improvement and staff coaching/development, whilst also having dedicated clinical days to ensure you are in touch with patient needs and your skills stay sharp.

Our HITH Service provides holistic, multidiscipinary care for patients that would otherwise require hospitalisation, with the aim to reduce hospital stay in traditional ward setting and/or avoid hospital through direct referral from community or Emergency Departments. Our HITH service operates neonatal, paediatric and adult medical, surgical, acute geriatric and subacute geriatric () cohorts all under one roof, split across specialty streams. Our service is committed to being responsive to the growing Wyndham Community, through developing new pathways and doing things differently. As such, this role will suit someone with leadership experience in areas such as quality improvement, project management or policy development.

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Extensive (5+yrs) recent experience in an acute hospital, with relevant experience in community setting, across a broad range of Medical/Surgical and Geriatric services.
• Demonstrated experience in nurse leadership, including coaching and supporting staff, and an ability to lead projects to improve service delivery
• Demonstrated highly effective clinical skills in specialty area, time management and interpersonal skills including problem solving and negotiation skills

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
