Western Health is seeking a dedicated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our team at Sunshine Hospital's Ward GC, a specialised Dementia Management Unit and Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) ward. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive team that values trust, flexibility, accountability, and continuous improvement.
As an ANUM, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager, leading clinical excellence, mentoring staff, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care. You'll be empowered to drive innovation, foster collaboration, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families.
Essential:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Possess relevant Post Graduate qualification or relevant clinical experience
- Demonstrate skills in the relevant nursing specialty
- Demonstrate effective management skills appropriate to the Associate Nurse Unit Manager role
- Demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Possess well-highly developed interpersonal skills including conflict resolution strategies
- Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Possess knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and human resource procedures
- Be innovative, resourceful and adaptable to change
- A commitment to high quality, safe and person-centred care
