Position Overview

The Membership, Ticketing & Retail Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, fan engagement, and operational excellence across Sydney FC's membership, ticketing, and merchandise programs. This role oversees the full customer journey — from acquisition and retention of members, to match day ticket sales, to merchandise strategy and fulfilment — ensuring a premium experience for all supporters.

Key Responsibilities

Membership

  • Develop and execute membership strategies to achieve annual targets for acquisition, retention, and revenue.
  • Oversee membership campaign planning, including creative, communications, and sales channels.
  • Manage membership database, segmentation, and reporting to drive personalised engagement.
  • Lead membership servicing, renewals, and member benefit programs.
  • Analyse data to identify growth opportunities and enhance member satisfaction.

Ticketing

  • Oversee all ticketing operations for A-League Men's, Women's, and other club events.
  • Manage inventory, pricing, and promotions in partnership with the ticketing provider.
  • Develop strategies to maximise attendance and revenue, including group sales initiatives.
  • Ensure seamless match day ticketing operations and high-quality customer service.

Merchandise

  • Oversee retail operations including online store, match day outlets, and pop-up activations.
  • Manage relationships with kit supplier and retail partners to ensure product range aligns with brand and fan demand.
  • Plan seasonal product launches and coordinate marketing campaigns to drive sales.
  • Monitor stock levels, sales performance, and merchandising standards.

Data & CRM

  • Maintain a high-level proficiency in CRM platforms to manage customer records, track engagement, and execute targeted campaigns.
  • Track and analyse data across membership, ticketing, and merchandise to monitor performance against KPIs.
  • Interpret sales and engagement trends to provide actionable insights for marketing, fan engagement, and commercial teams.
  • Create dashboards and regular reports for senior management to inform strategic decisions.
  • Apply data-driven segmentation to personalise communications, improve conversion rates, and optimise ROI.

General

  • Prepare regular reports on membership, ticketing, and merchandise performance.
  • Manage budgets and deliver on agreed revenue targets.
  • Lead and develop the Membership & Ticketing team.
  • Collaborate across departments to integrate commercial objectives into fan-facing programs.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in membership, ticketing, or merchandise management within professional sport or live entertainment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering revenue growth.
  • Advanced skills in CRM systems, database management, and marketing automation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems and retail operations.
