Your Impact: The Role

As our Mental Health Professional, you'll deliver responsive, culturally informed mental health services in a supportive, well-resourced environment. Your work will be guided by our integrated model of care and include:

  • Holistic, trauma-informed clinical care focused on social and emotional wellbeing
  • Community engagement and culturally respectful practice
  • Case management and care coordination
  • Clinical leadership and advocacy within a multidisciplinary team
  • Contribution to continuous improvement and service innovation

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver holistic, person-centred care that respects cultural identity and community connection
  • Strengthen cultural safety across all aspects of service delivery
  • Work collaboratively within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO)
  • Empower clients with knowledge and tools for self-determined health choices
  • Monitor and evaluate service outcomes, aligned with PHN targets and reporting

What You'll Need

  • A degree in Nursing or an Allied Health field (Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy)
  • Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for AASW membership (Social Workers)
  • Mental Health Nurse Credentialing (or willingness to obtain within agreed time frame)
  • Postgraduate qualifications in mental health (preferred) or commitment to obtaining them
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities
  • Proven ability to deliver collaborative, multidisciplinary care in a primary health setting
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and clinical documentation skills
