Exciting opportunities are currently available for experienced Allied Health Assistants to join the Allied Health Services Team at the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:

  • To provide direct clinical assistance and support, as delegated and supervised, by Allied Health Professionals to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of patient care delivery. Allied Health professions include Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Podiatry and Social Work.
  • To provide non-clinical support to Allied Health Professionals through delivery of administration, customer service and equipment management duties under the direction of the supervising health practitioner.
