We are currently seeking a
Mine Control Coordinator
at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) – Coppabella Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.

The role:
Step into a pivotal leadership role at the heart of mine operations. Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Monitoring and Control, you will oversee the real time performance of mine control systems, keeping operations safe, efficient, and on track.

You will lead a high performing team that thrives on safety, innovation, and operational excellence, while driving improvements that directly impact production and asset reliability.

Duties will include:

• Mentor and support the Mine Control team, building capability and driving a culture of safety and performance.
• Allocate equipment in real time to lift production and fleet efficiency.
• Track equipment health and act fast on alerts or faults.
• Ensure accuracy of critical data and compliance with the Time Usage Model (TUM).
• Drive RCA and other initiatives that deliver smarter, safer outcomes.
• Embed and maintain strong risk controls across operations.
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Tech Services, and CHPP to influence
• results.
• Oversee shift handovers, prioritise tasks, and keep communication clear.
• Provide accurate insights on production, equipment use, and downtime.
• Manage team rosters to balance coverage and wellbeing.

About You:

• Supervisor tickets – G1, G8, G9
• Trainer & Assessor competency (or willing to obtain).
• Experience with protocols and incident management.
• Strong track record in Mine Control or Production Mining.
• Skilled in FMS platforms (Modular Dispatch, MineStar, Hexagon MineOP).
• Known for coaching, mentoring, and lifting team performance.
• MinVu, PowerBI, CORVUS, Microsoft Office, SAP
• Thrives in fast-moving, cross-discipline environments.
