The Role
We're seeking an HSE Advisor to support the Project Manager in implementing safety and environmental compliance systems on-site. Acting as the key liaison between RES and the client, you'll ensure all safety and environmental standards are met throughout project execution.
In this role, you'll mentor subcontractors on compliance requirements, monitor contractor performance, and foster a strong safety culture aligned with HSQE laws, project objectives, and company leadership goals. Your expertise will help deliver projects safely, sustainably, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships with clients and contractors, fostering collaboration and respect.
- Set up and monitor project safety and environmental systems to ensure compliance with laws and standards.
- Coach teams to continuously improve policies, procedures, and share best practices.
- Ensure safety and emergency plans are communicated, understood, and followed by all staff.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations, address non-conformances promptly.
- Promote a culture of hazard reporting and maintain accurate safety documentation.
- Review subcontractor safety and environmental plans for compliance.
- Support toolbox talks, project meetings, and HSE committee sessions.
- Identify and escalate safety or environmental risks; stop work if necessary to protect people and the environment.
- Prepare reports and maintain safety performance statistics to drive improvement.

The Position
The HSE Partner fulfils a core role to support the Project Manager in establishing and
implementing safety and environmental compliance systems and provide safety and
environmental guidance in the execution of construction activities on the project site.
Implement the safety and environmental management systems onsite required by RES
standards and client standards.
Act as the RES-Client Interface representative on all aspects relating to theproject safety
and environmental systems, programs, initiatives, and client requirements.
Coach. lead and mentor project-based subcontractors in RES's and client safety and
environmental requirements.
Undertake an assurance role in monitoring performance of client contractors.
The HSE Partner will add value through supporting the RES project team and client
subcontractors in a manner that complies with HSQE laws and regulations, the project
objectives and also the company safety leadership objectives.
Key Accountabilities
Maintain regular client contact and working relations with their EPC, BoP and S&I
Contractors in a non-adversarial manner.
Facilitate set up of RES project systems, safe methods of work and process to
ensure compliance with state laws and regulations as relevantto the SoW.
Monitor and report on set up of EPC, BoP and S&I Contractors project systems,

Understand the Clients' business objectives and strives to meet or exceed client
expectations.
Coach and support the continuous improvement of policy, procedure, and
template documents by everyone involved in project delivery to capture and
share good practice and facilitate future improvement in all aspects of project
performance.
Ensure Safety and Emergency response plans are understood, communicated, and
utilised by project staff and subcontractors.
Assist the Project and Site Managers in the implementation, updating, monitoring
and review of the RES Safety and Environmental Management plans.

Facilitate internal and external safety audits. Provide advice and guidance on
identified non-conformances and instigate follow-up on any overdue actions

Undertake site safety inspections of work sites in accordance with the job
specific inspection/auditing schedule.
Facilitate 'Incident' reporting and coordinate job incident investigation and
reporting in accordance with procedures. Reporting of Environmental
'Incidents' and incident investigation and reporting in accordance with
procedures. Safety and Environment S alerts are to be produced based on
findings from serious incidents.
Drive a culture that records all Hazard reports, Observations, and Inspections
into a logged system.
Prepare/review/maintain job specific health and safety documentation in
accordance with the Health & Safety Management System.
Review the client's subcontractor safety and environmental management
plans, systems, procedures, and records to ensure they are maintaining
compliance.
Assist the development and delivery of daily toolbox talks, weekly project
meetings and workplace HSE committee meetings.
Identify and advise the Construction Project Manager of projectsafety and
environmental issues and the recommended rectification actions. Liaise with
RES head of Safety on all project safety matters and provide immediate
reporting of safety incidents, statistics, and information.
Temporarily suspend construction activities with immediate notification to
the Project Manager where a significant safety or environmental risk is
identified.
Prepare site safety and environmental reports for RES and as required by
client.
Participate subcontractor lead incident investigations and inform all parties
of outcomes and lessons learned.
Maintain and report safety performance statistics identifying trends and
proposing/ implementing corrective actions.
Compile project statistics then prepare monthly safety and environment
report for the Project Manager
Monitor and enforce the project site rules to ensure compliance including
reporting of breaches and stoppage of work, if and whenrequired
