About the role
As the Truck Operations Manager at Sustainable Civil Infrastructure Group Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the company's fleet of Trucks. This full-time role is based in Melbourne, (main depot in Craigieburn, with others in Plumpton and Dandenong) and plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of a variety of civil infrastructure projects throughout Victoria.

What you'll be doing
- Maintain and Build relationships with Plant Hires to secure optimum work both Day and Night for our Fleet and team
- Ensuring ALL trucks and staff are inducted, with all documentation Up To Date with all Plant Hires, and constantly managing this to keep everything updated, ahead of time.
- Manage our team of experienced truck operators and staff, and coordinate their schedules and job assignments in an efficient manner, including the docketing and invoicing to ensure prompt and accurate payment for works
- Oversee the maintenance and servicing of the fleet of Trucks to keep them in optimal working condition
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the safety, productivity and efficiency of the company's truck operations
- Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption and other key performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements
- Liaise with Plant Hires, site supervisors and our Team, to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to construction sites
- Provide training and development opportunities for truck operators to upskill and enhance their capabilities
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations, including HVNL and CoR
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior civil truck operations or fleet management role
- In-depth knowledge of the operation, maintenance and regulatory requirements for a variety of heavy civil construction vehicles including Trucks.
- Strong organisational and planning skills to coordinate complex logistics and schedules
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to liaise effectively with both truck operators, Plant Hires and Senior Management.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement
- Relevant qualifications/experience in Trucking, logistics or a related field
- Must be Punctual, Professional, and capable. Able to communicate via phone, computer, and Apps.
