As they continue to expand their footprint, a wonderful opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Legal Assistant/Law Clerk to join the growing team at the Sunbury office. This is a permanent full-time role, with flexible working arrangements on offer for the right candidate.

About the role

Reporting to the Principal Solicitor, you will provide first class client support across the close-knit personal injury practice. This is a very important role working with clients in need of support and guidance each step of the way through their personal injury claims process.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing guidance and direction to support staff in the team, whilst fostering a positive and collaborative working environment;
  • Assisting senior staff with administrative tasks, including preparing correspondence, Court documents and other legal documents, scheduling, and client communication;
  • Proactively support team operations to ensure efficiency and maintain high standards of performance;
  • Liaising with Lawyers, Counsel, third parties, Barristers and external experts;
  • Collaborating with senior staff, legal professionals, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services; and
  • Responding to client queries and managing client relationships.

About you

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Legal Assistant/Law Clerk or similar;
  • Experience working in Victorian WorkCover (desirable) but not essential;
  • Experience in high volume personal injury practice;
  • Excellent client service skills as you'll be engaging with a diverse range of people from different backgrounds;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills; and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
