Bricklayer Apprenticeship

The Role:

Location: Metro Adelaide SA

Duration: 48-month full time Apprenticeship

As a Bricklayer Apprentice, you will learn to construct walls, partitions, and other structures using bricks and blocks. Upon completion, you'll be a highly skilled and valued team member, with career pathways leading to roles such as builder, supervisor, or estimator.

This role will require travel between work sites. A travel allowance may be claimable (conditions apply).

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:

• Lay, move, and stack bricks and blocks
• Mix mortar
• Site preparation
• Level and finish concrete
• Perform measurements and calculations
• General labouring duties as required

About You:

To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will need:

• A genuine interest in a bricklaying career
• Basic understanding of the trade
• Willingness to learn to operate power tools and equipment
• Ability to follow directions and work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• A positive, can-do attitude

Role Requirements:

• Driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• Be willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen
• Previous on site or labouring experience (desirable)
• Certificate II in Construction Pathways or similar (desirable)
