About the role

We are seeking experienced Bricklayers and Apprentices to join our team at Inspired Masonry in Adelaide, SA. As a Bricklayer, you will play a crucial role in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial buildings. This is a full-time position, offering a stable and rewarding career within the building trades industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to construct walls, foundations, and other structures
  • Interpreting architectural plans and blueprints to ensure accurate and precise bricklaying work
  • Measuring, cutting, and shaping bricks and blocks as needed
  • Ensuring the structural integrity and quality of the work by adhering to building codes and standards
  • Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and stonemasons, to complete construction projects
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work environment by following all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualification in bricklaying or an apprenticeship in the building trade or an example portfolio of work performed
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and resolve any construction challenges
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and building specifications
  • Excellent physical fitness and stamina to perform physically demanding work
  • Proficient in the use of bricklaying tools and equipment
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
