We are looking for a seasoned leader to join our team in Goulburn as our National Operations Manager. This is a new role, reporting directly to the Chief of Operations.

About the Role
This is a Senior Management position, accountable for Hidrive operations at all national locations. The position ensures sustainable performance and compliance is achieved with respect to health & safety, quality, schedule and operating cost targets. The position will provide autonomous leadership to the national operations team to deliver in full on time (DIFOT) for our key stakeholders.
Key accountabilities
- Provides strong leadership and a change agent towards building an Operational Excellence culture, setting clear expectations including team KPI's aligned to business objectives and hold accountability
- Training, coordination and development of team (builds team capability)
- Make timely decisions within areas of authority and accountability
- Develops, meets/implements and enhances strategic business objectives
- Operational risk management
- Safety, People, Quality: Visible commitment to peoples' safety and our customers product quality is the top priority
- Ensures operating compliance with applicable regulatory obligations (HSEQ) and Hidrive internal processes and business systems (e.g., ERP)
- Oversee the safe execution of production plans and schedules by the teams
- Participates in sales and operations (S&OP) planning routines
- Manages accountability for 'Right First Time' production
- Ensures non-conformance investigation, root cause assessments and corrective actions are completed
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies to ensure that Hidrive is at the front of its game
- Ensures a consistent high standard of operational performance is maintained and continually improved by using excellence methods (e.g., LEAN, 5S, Six sigma, etc.)
- Optimise production resource utilisation and related costs, continually manage costs to meet sustainable EBITDA targets for the business
- Contributes to the development and management of operational budgets; supports preparation and submission of CAPEX as per company policy
- Chair and facilitate team meetings
- Work closely with and support the entire Hidrive organisation to achieve common objectives
- Collaborates with cross departments to work as 'one team'
- Monitoring daily, weekly & monthly production performance reporting
Minimum requirements and experience
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, engineering or business management
- Diploma, Degree or Master's degree desirable
- 5+ years in a senior role in a manufacturing or primary production industrial environment safely leading medium to large workforces
- WH&S legislation
- Finance and P&L management
- Project management
- Engineering or similar technical exposure
