About the role
Temporary full time opportunity to pursue a career in trauma and emergency surgery with an aspiration to improve the quality of trauma care through research. It will also benefit those surgeons who see trauma and emergency surgery as a part of their future role.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Management of inpatients under the trauma bed card.
- Operative management of multi trauma patients (depending on surgical training and scope of practice).
- Participate in established projects of the Jamieson Trauma Institute (JTI) or develop new projects in partnership with JTI.
- Contribute to the teaching of medical students, junior doctors and surgical trainees on a regular basis.
