The Venue

Located in Sydney's CBD this large venue consists of Bars, Bistro, Entertainment and Function Facilities.

The Role

Responsible for the daily operations, you will oversee your team to achieve set targets and objectives across all departments whilst creating exceptional culture. Accountable for driving revenue, staff management and training, operational cost control, adherence to company policies and procedures and ensuring high service standards across all departments. With head office support, you will contribute to the overall growth and development of the venue. This hands-on role will see you present as the face of the hotel with a continual presence on the ground floor overseeing peak service periods, maintaining compliance and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

About You

An experienced and passionate front of house focused leader and an exceptional multi-tasker with a thorough knowledge of bar & gaming operations and a strong focus on driving revenue and improving standards across all revenue streams.

As a successful candidate you will tick the boxes in the following areas:

  • Proven success as a Sydney Venue Manager managing a large multi-faceted venue within the 'pub' industry
  • Industry, gaming, food and beverage trend savvy
  • A detailed knowledge of NSW licensing, OH&S and other legal requirements
  • Staff training and performance management
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lead the team, delegate effectively and manage staff rostering
  • Strong financials and cost control
  • Available to work late nights and weekends with an average of 2 weekends a month off
