About the role

Are you looking for an opportunity to help shape Tasmania's energy future?

TasNetworks is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced professionals to join as Independent Chair of our Stakeholder Advisory Group.

Working an average of 5 hours per month, key responsibilities include:

· Facilitating meetings, fostering discussion and participation

About the Stakeholder Advisory Group

The SAG is a one of TasNetwork's leading energy engagement groups, with 18 professionals (plus chair) who are passionate about the future of energy for Tasmanians.

Their purpose is to:

· provide the collective perspectives of given communities, membership groups and/or organisations on strategic and operational energy issues in the best interests of TasNetworks' customers and/or Tasmanian electricity users

· help ensure TasNetworks places the evolving needs and expectations of its customers and stakeholders at the centre of business decision making.

The Independent Chair is a pivotal role, acting as the conduit between members of the SAG and TasNetworks' engagement team - providing leadership, guidance and support to enable the group to achieve its purpose.

The group meets a minimum of four times a year (roughly quarterly), and there is also an expectation this will increase at critical times, including during the revenue reset proposal development phase for the Australian Energy Regulator.
