Description of the role: We're seeking a Finance Analyst (FP&A) to join our internal Finance team. In this role you'll report directly to the CFO and play a key part in shaping our financial strategy, guiding investment decisions, and ensuring compliance in a dynamic business environment. This is a new created role that is an exciting opportunity for the right person to shape and make it their own.

What makes you 'just right':

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally in a medium to large company.
• Experience in a professional services firm is preferable but not essential.
• Proficient financial analysis, problem-solving and financial modelling skills.
• Experience in process improvement essential, and system implementation preferable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders (i.e. Senior Partners)
• Proficiency in preparing and presenting financial reports to stakeholders, developing and maintaining dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Technically strong with the use of financial software tools and a keen interest in exploring AI functionality. A drive to continually want to innovate and upskill in these products and discover and learn new products.

What your day might look like:

• Conduct financial analysis, modelling, and scenario planning to support strategic decisions, including investment and equity management.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance reports, highlighting trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Support month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to business leaders, partnering closely with internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to M&A evaluations, investment planning, and risk assessment activities.
• Be a key member of project teams for system implementation and process improvement within the finance function.
• Mentor junior finance staff and support team development through training and KPI tracking.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, including ESG and the Modern Slavery Act 2018.
