About the Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Human Resources is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of human resources functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, learning & development, compensation & benefits, compliance, performance management, and delivery of day-to-day human resources services. The role will also be a strategic business partner to review, develop and executive human resources policies & people initiatives to align with business directions and achieve results.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
· Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
· Monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
· Partner with EXCOMS and department heads to drive performance, engagement, and workforce planning
· Nurture a positive working culture and environment
Employee Relations & Compliance
· Provide expert advice on legislation, award interpretations, and up-to-date policies and procedures
· Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
· Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
Talent & Culture
· Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
· Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance, and succession planning
Learning & Development
· Design and deliver Fullerton training programs and department-specific learning initiatives
· Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
Requirements
· University degree or equivalent in human resources or business management
· Minimum 10 years' proven working experience at human resources leadership role in hospitality industry
· Strong knowledge on local legislation and statutory requirements, i.e. Hospitality Industry General Award (HIGA), Fair Work Act, Work Health and Safety Act, etc
· Strong leadership, people-oriented and results driven
· Effective communication and inter-personal skills to handle stakeholders and employee at all levels
· Subject matter expert in HRIS (HumanForce, IntelliHR) & Payroll systems
· Willing to work on site in an office environment, Monday to Friday
