Learning and Development Specialist

Are you passionate about creating engaging digital learning experiences that drive adoption and business results?
AFG is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to help us deliver innovative, tech-enabled training programs that support our broker network and internal teams.
In this role, you'll design and deliver digital-first learning solutions – from onboarding pathways and software training modules to help articles and webinars – that enable our people to adopt new tools, products and processes with confidence. You'll play a key role in building scalable, data-driven learning experiences that make a real impact.
What you'll do
- Design & build digital content using tools like Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, and Canva – including eLearning modules, videos, simulations, and microlearning.
- Manage & optimise our LMS (Litmos), ensuring seamless delivery, automation, reporting and user experience.
- Develop and maintain Zendesk help articles and knowledge base content, ensuring our teams and brokers have the resources they need at their fingertips.
- Partner with product and technology teams to create onboarding and training for new systems and initiatives.
- Run webinars and virtual sessions to complement digital content and drive adoption of new tools.
- Measure impact: collect data, evaluate outcomes, and continuously improve content for engagement and effectiveness.
- Champion innovation: experiment with new formats (microlearning, gamification, automation) to create modern and engaging learning experiences.
About you
- You're an instructional designer at heart, with proven experience creating engaging, digital-first training content.
- Hands-on experience with Articulate 360 (Rise/Storyline), LMS admin (preferably Litmos), and supporting knowledge base platforms like Zendesk.
- Experience designing and delivering software/product training and onboarding programs.
- You think in systems: you look for ways to automate, streamline and improve learning delivery.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills – able to collaborate across tech, product, and business teams.
- Formal quals (Cert IV TAE, or equivalent) and financial services industry knowledge are valued but not essential.
