The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurses (Hospital in the Home) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide patient high quality care in the comfort of familiar surrounding
- Manage Cannulation and Central Venous Access Device
- Demonstrated skills in advanced assessment and complex wound care
- Ability to work autonomously and well-developed interpersonal skills
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time; Permanent part time.
- Base salary ranging from $ $ per annum or $ $58.30 per hour.
About Us
Geriatric Evaluation and Management in the Home/Hospital in the Home is a service within Transitional Care Services located within the Directorate of Medicine.
Hospital in the Home provides care in a patient's permanent or temporary residence care settings and includes but not limited to: residential aged care facilities, hotels, homes and outpatient setting within the Hospital Health Service for conditions requiring clinical governance, monitoring and/or input that would otherwise require treatment in the traditional inpatient hospital bed. The admission criterion is governed by authorising officer and as such, the HITH program is focused on admitted care substitution. HITH patients are regarded as hospital inpatients, therefore they remain under the care of their hospital doctor, who will be updated on their journey and outcome.
