The Workforce Development and Integrity Division plays a critical role in building capable, inclusive, and high-performing workforce across the Department of Human Services (DHS), and by extension, supporting the delivery of safe, trusted services to the South Australian community. The division provides strategic and operational workforce services internally across DHS, while also contributing to broader public safety and integrity through the provision of screening services. It brings together four key directorates, each instrumental in strengthening our people, culture, and governance.

DHS is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join its Executive Leadership Team as Executive Director, Workforce Development and Integrity. This is a rare opportunity to lead strategic workforce transformation within one of South Australia's most impactful government departments, helping to shape the future of public service delivery and sector capability.

In this high-impact role, the Executive Director will provide strategic leadership across a diverse portfolio, guiding the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused workforce services that support the department's operational and cultural objectives. They will oversee legal policy and screening functions that uphold safety, integrity, and public trust, while championing innovation, continuous improvement, and inclusive leadership development.

With a strong focus on collaboration, the successful candidate will influence workforce reform across government through strategic partnerships, and represent DHS in high-level consultations, negotiations, and sector-wide initiatives. As a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team, they will offer expert insight into people strategy, workforce trends, and cultural transformation to support future-focused decision-making.
