If the thought of delivering magic to over a million guests every year makes you smile, then we have an amazing opportunity for you to join our team here at WILDLIFE Sydney as a Keeper (Australian Fauna) on a Full-Time basis

About the Role

We connect guests with wildlife through creating and maintaining engaging world-class displays, delivering memorable guest experiences and ensuring best-practice animal welfare. This role will work within our curatorial team at Wildlife Sydney.

This role requires availability to work Christmas and New Year's period, along with 1 in 4 weekends.

About You

Essential:

  • Minimum of 1 year paid experience in an animal care role, preferably in a zoo or aquarium setting.

  • Be guest obsessed demonstrating a passion for guest experience, education and connecting people with sea life, sustainability, and conservation.

  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, cope with frequent and unpredictable changes to daily routine and workloads, and to work, at times under high pressure.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work unsupervised, assess tasks, and set priorities for self.

  • Current (or willingness to obtain at own expense) NSW Working with Children Check.

Desirable:

  • Current First Aid / CPR.

  • Tertiary qualifications in animal care.

  • Full NSW Driver's License.
