Marketing and Communications Assistant

• 12 month Fixed term contract till August 2026

• Provide marketing and communications support for alumni and donor audiences

• Base Salary $89K + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

Our Marketing and Communications unit is striving to deliver on our university's ambitious marketing strategy. Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Specialist ( Advancement ) , we are looking for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to support the University's objective of maintaining ongoing connection and engagement with our global community of alumni and donors.

The Advancement Portfolio is responsible for providing the direction, coordination and management of the alumni engagement and fundraising programs for the University, including a wide range of alumni communications and events as well as the major giving, planned giving and community giving programs.

This position will see you take on a range of duties including but not limited to, developing content with a strategic focus for both print and digital channels, managing a monthly e-newsletter, and providing administrative and project support throughout the team.

About you

• strong copywriting skills and experience coordinating communications using different channels including newsletters, email, social media and web

• experience creating engaging content for social media and reporting on insights and learnings to improve ongoing performance

• ability to interpret data to track campaign performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement is highly valuable

• proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload in a high-volume environment whilst working to strict deadlines

• experience with social media advertising desirable but not required .
